Hello people.

Hell of a thing, the news bulletin. Certainly had me going. We're all law-abiding citizens, I know, but it does make one nervous, doesn't it?

We all know mistakes can be made, accidents happens, memories slip. I mean, that's kind of the way it is around here.

If anybody's a little shy about interacting with the registry office, well, it's always nice to know someone's got your back, isn't it? Obviously I can't rewrite the rules, and I can't work miracles, but I might be able to put a good word in.

So, if anybody needs a voucher for their good character- not that any of you do, of course- I'll be happy to stand as a reference.

Glass. It had to be glass. The guy who'd hit him was apologizing profusely, trying to help him up, and only making things worse by wiping his face with a bar towel. Beating him off, Ace fumbled blindly in the general direction of the men's room, leaving a trail of red behind him. There was still bits of glass in his hair, and stuck to his brows and lashes, so he didn't dare open his eyes. The shrill screams, however, alerted him that he'd blundered into the wrong bathroom. Muttering apologies, he fell into the men's room door in his hurry to escape the ladies room.

Finding the sink wasn't too hard, but getting the glass off his face proved stupidly difficult. It didn't help that he couldn't see what he was doing. His movements were jerky, rapid, as much from urgency as pain. Haunt had broken Rule No. 1: Don't hit on the Boss. He hoped the investment had been enough.

When he's not dealing behind one of the gambling tables, Ace can usually be found perched on a bar stool waiting to play some rather different odds. He's always open for business, and he rarely says "no". Yes, his prices are steep, but they're worth every penny. Want that cute girl to finally look at you? Done. Looking to increase your chances at a promotion? Sure. Win a couple of rounds of roulette? Nothing could be easier. He's not a miracle-worker, but he can make your life easier- so long as you're willing to do the same for him.

So what can he do for you?
